Freedom isn't Free

Strangely enough, our six month mark just happened to hit on the same day as the cancellation of our spouses retreat, the third anniversary of the deaths of two pilots we lost during the last deployment and culminated with the Fort Hood tragedy. I believe it safe to say, it was not the best of days around these parts. Please pray for the soldiers and family's of those in Ft Hood, take the time to thank a soldier or his family members, say a few prayers for those family members whom have paid the ultimate price and count your lucky stars that there are people willing to give up so much for our country! Freedom isn't free. Servicemen and women give up so much more then just their time. They give up anniversaries, birthdays, hockey games, graduations, hugs from their kids and being around to see all those firsts (teeth, steps, goals, etc) Its important to not take all those things for granted, because so many right now are dying to ensure these luxuries still exist!

Well said, and I can't believe it's been 3 years since that accident. I'll be praying for their families.
