1. I think I am finally finding my stride so to speak with running again. Its helps that I have a few amazing gal pals here that love to run and keep me going. My times are improving considerably and I am super excited about our upcoming 1/2 marathon in March!
2. Is it just me or did January go by like a blur?
3. Isaac turns 8 very, very soon. Eight years old, how the heck did that happen already? We are planning a super cool Lego Ninjago party here at the house. I have never in my life wanted to have a party at my house but it was either that or shell out 300 bucks for AN HOUR at the Fun Zone....yeah, not happening! After viewing lots of neat ideas online, I am actually getting pretty excited about the idea, well, as long as I don't dwell on the fact that eight 8 year old boys will be landing on my house for 2 hours!
4. I gave a testimony on marriage last week at MOPS. It was actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I got the sweetest email yesterday from one of the mentor moms that was in the meeting thanking me for being so open and honest. She said I was very refreshing, humorous and was a great inspiration to the other moms, even her and she has been married 40 years. I felt truly blessed that she took the time to thank me; it really was encouraging to me!
5. Its crazy how I always have so many ideas rolling around in my head for posts such as this but then when I sit down to type it out, I can never remember half of them! I guess I should start writing them down to reference later but those of you who know me, know I would never be able to locate that list when it came time to.
6. Delainey has already started planning her birthday party. Up until yesterday, she wanted to have a bumble bee birthday, which I thought would be so cute. But, when she remembered that bumble bees are yellow and black (which, she claims are boy colors) she quickly switched it to an Ariel mermaid party. I told her we could still do the bumble bee party and just make the bees yellow and pink and she said (sounding very annoyed at the thought I might add) "Mom! Yellow and pink do NOT go together!" Little Miss Sassafras!”
7. I don't know if this makes me a complete dork or not but my new favorite show to watch on Netflix is Frasier. Oh my heavens, it makes me laugh! I watched an episode last night where Frasier, Niles, Daphne and the dad go on a trip in a Winnebago. I seriously thought I was going to wet my pants. I have now added taking a Winnebago trip with my parents onto my bucket list!
8. My friend Katrina and I are running the Tough Mudder in Atlanta in two weeks. She sent me this video today and now I am totally rethinking the whole "lots run 10 miles through the mud and get zapped with electricity while we do it" idea.
9. Can you please say a prayer for my dear friend Dustin's little girl, Mallory. She has been battling fevers for over a week and was just recently hospitalized with Kawasaki Disease. Dustin's hubby is currently deployed and she has two little boys at home to tend to as well as her sick baby girl. She has a lot on her plate right now and can use all the prayers she can get! Thanks so much.
10. I am off now to complete some Pinterest projects I have been working on! The owl rice heating pads I am making are so stinking cute....can't wait to post pics when I am done with them.
Nighty Nite Y'all
